Our traditional, small-batch house-rendered manteca (lard) comes from NC pasture-raised pigs free from added hormones or antibiotics. This snow-white lard will not only make the best pies and pastries you've ever had, it's actually better for you than shortening!
Our manteca is artfully packaged in a reusable glass jar and is shelf-stable (though the colder the better for pastries). Each jar comes with our special pie crust recipe for a fool-proof, flaky crust every time! Manteca is also great for shortbread, tortillas, and frying.
